With the Divine Blessings of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba varu, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, (Mahila Vibhag), have conducted 23rd Cancer Detection Program on 18.11. 23 at Gadwal in association with MNJ Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad. Camp started at 10.30 a.m. with three times Omkaram, Bhajan and Jyoti Prajwalana. A team of 13 faculty and staff members of MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad attended the camp. Sri M.Sudershan, EP Gadwal in his opening remarks narrated activities conducted in the district during 98th Birthday celebrations of Swamy and invited hospital doctors and staff.. Sri G. Bhaskara Rao State Medical Activity Incharge, TS in his address to the mahila members attended in the camp explained how cancer in women can be averted by doing simple tests like Pap Smear, Mamogram , Sono Mammogram etc. periodically. He informed the members that in 22 camps conducted in 17 districts in Telangana 1435 Sonomamograms, 1524 Pap Smear 491Mammograms, 2106 Oral tests conducted benefitting 2593 women.83 doctors, 148 paramedical participated. 59 follow up cases identifird and treated. He explained in detail on importance of Cancer Camps and stressed need of cancer camps.
